Expanding Payments Acceptance

Challenge

An internal MasterCard payments platform team wanted to identify the key business and technical capabilities needed to successfully expand into new markets abroad.

Solution

Working with the core client team, I designed the format and facilitation of an ideation workshop to bring together the executive sponsors and regional experts to identify necessary platform capabilities. During the workshop, we leveraged an Excel-based product features prioritization matrix I built to score, rank, and assess market opportunities based on how well they fit the platform's needs. Through the ideation session, regional representatives had the opportunity to voice their local market expertise while the executive sponsors emerged with a robust product roadmap, now easily able to adapt the matrix tool for future product iterations.
